Once I began freelancing, I was able to find the time to teach screen printing classes at Daniel Boone Elementary School in Rogers Park. They acquired a grant so I could set up a studio for the school, exposing the students to screen printing for the first time.
Classes were open to the community, projects were given an environmental theme and recycled materials were used whenever possible.
Students printed and made their own stickers and note cards then exchanged with each other.
Each student in the Introduction to Silk Screening class designed, prepped, exposed and printed their own edition of prints.
